ASU has become the first in Russia to grant over 500 students with certificates in information technologies

Over 500 master’s degree students and a number of postgraduates of Altai State University have successfully completed certification for internationally recognized IT specialists.

The courses are available not only to students of natural science faculties, but also to those who major in humanities. Training is carries out in particular areas such as office technologies and operating systems. Students get to the basic level of IT competence.

“According to Microsoft, our case is unique for the Russian Federation in general, because a considerable number of students intentionally underwent training in specific IT fields and have become certified specialists,” said Had of ASU IT Department Mikhail A. Ryazanov. “When ASU students receive their diplomas of higher education, they also get certificates for some IT competencies. Moreover, we do not limit their choice. They choose the courses and fields that appeal to them most of all.”

Currently, the certification procedure continues to be carried out. Altai State University cooperates with famous corporations (Cisco, Microsoft, IBM, etc.) in this direction.
