The Faculty of Psychology was opened in 2003, but training of psychologists has been conducted in Altai State University since 1994. All majors, bachelor's and master's programs timely and successfully pass the procedure of state accreditation. In 2012, the Faculty of Psychology joined the Faculty of Pedagogics thus forming the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogics.

The Faculty is located in the center of the city, in one of the most beautiful buildings of the university. Bright and spacious classrooms, specialized classes for individual and group work, laboratory facilities, computer labs,  classes that are carried out by candidates and doctors of sciences help to retain the spirit of classical university education.

Today ASU Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogics trains qualified staff to work primarily with adults in organizations and institutions at different levels. Graduates of the Faculty are demanded specialists and work in Altai Krai, Russia and abroad.

Currently the Faculty employs 12 doctors of sciences, professors, and more than 30 candidates of science, assistant professors.

Faculty of Education and Psychology offers the following programes

Bachelor's degree programs:

  • Psychology.

Specialist's degree programs:

  • Pedagogics and Psychology of Deviant Behavior;
  • Psychology of Official Activities;
  • Clinical Psychology.

Master's degree programs:

  • Psychological Couseling;
  • Psychology of Personality;
  • Health Psychology.

Postgraduate courses:

  • Psychology;
  • Education and Pedagogics.
All educational programs are generally in Russian. To enroll in any educational program the applicant must have B1–B2 level of Russian or take 1 year course of Russian language at the Altai State University Preparatory Department.
