Participants of the III International Educational Forum “Altai-Asia 2016” adopted a resolution

The work of the III International Educational Forum “Altai-Asia 2016: Eurasian Educational Space – New Challenges and Best Practices” was carried to completion on 23 September 2016.

The forum participants included 158 researchers and experts in the area of higher education representing more than 50 universities of 11 countries and 26 constituent entities of Russia.

The results of the event were summarized by moderators of discussion platforms and project sessions, where the attendees discussed experience in combination of professional and educational standards, special aspects of educational systems in Pakistan, India, Mongolia and other participating countries, innovative educational programs and so on.

“For the present day, the development of the university-supported network model for monitoring of education system, education quality assessment, improvement of educational programs and technologies becomes possible. Designing the future of education, implementation of new programs should be founded upon research, as well as serious discussions within the university and its partners. “Altai-Asia 2016” forum is a special discussion site, which makes a major contribution to solution of the designated problems,” emphasized director of the Institute of Education Development under National Research University “High School of Economics” (Moscow) Irina V. Abankina.

Resolution of the III International Educational Forum “Altai-Asia 2016” was proposed for consideration by the forum guests. It included a number of measures for development of comprehensive cooperation in the area of education in the light of trends and peculiarities of social and cultural diversity of participating countries.

In particular, the resolution suggested:

  • combining resources of Eurasian academic and expert communities for development of joint educational strategies and projects;
  • developing specific proposals for improvement of a number of Eurasian countries’ laws and regulations in the area of higher education;
  • working on creation of all-Asian system for higher education quality assurance;
  • extending the experience in learning the Oriental languages in Russian universities and increasing the level of teaching Russian as foreign language in Russian and Asian universities;
  • discussing the issues of educational migration and so on.

By tradition, collective volume of the forum materials is to be published by the end of Altai-Asia 2016. The next international educational forum will be held in 2018.

The forum was initiated by Altai State University with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), Altai Krai Administration, Russian Classical Universities Association, Microsoft Corporation (Moscow), Institute of Education Development under National Research University “High School of Economics”, “Accreditation in Education” journal.
