The third day of Altai-Asia 2017 forum

The third day of The International Student Forum “Altai-Asia 2017” was marked by transferal of its platforms to the Altai Mountains.

On September 16 the work of The International Student Forum “Altai-Asia 2017” continued in the Altai Mountains, on the territory of Aya hotel the Turquoise Katun tourist complex. 80 participants and experts of the forum left Barnaul at 6:30 and went to the Altai Mountains by bus. Flashmob “Welcome to Altai!” was organized for the participants on the viewpoint on the bank of Katun River at the entrance to Altai Republic. Students received an opportunity to warm up and dance. After that moderator of ecological and educational module on Altai, Doctor of Biology, Professor at the Department of Ecology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology of ASU Roman V. Yakovlev briefly told the guests about the Altai Mountains.

Then the buses went to Gorno-Altaysk, where the participants visited A.V. Anokhin National Museum of Altai Republic and got acquainted with the most interesting exhibit items.

At 13:00 delegations arrived at Aya hotel. The guests attended organizational meeting, had lunch, relaxed and walked aroung the territory of the hotel. The bravest ones went boating across the lake and even swam.

On September 16 the forum hosted 3 sections: competition of student social projects “The Heart of Asia”; ecological, educational and scientific module “Altai – the Crossroads of the Worlds”; “Media World of the New Generation”. Besides that, strong interest was attracted by sport platform, where teams of Kazakhstan universities competed on a football field.

In the framework of ecological, educational and scientific module “Altai – the Crossroads of the Worlds”, the interest of the attendees was attracted by report of Professor Alexander V. Matsyura, Doctor of Biology, Head of the Department of Zoology and Physiology. He told the audience about the methods for prevention of accidents in the airports of the world caused by birds. The participants asked numerous questions, discussed the problem and even made rational proposals.

Supposedly, the most active section was the competition of student social projects “The Heart of Asia”. It was dedicated to The XIX World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi. After the speech by Head of the Department for Extracurricular and Educational Work A.A. Tselevich, representatives of Asian universities presented their social projects, which had already been successfully put into practice. Thus, the project “GeoHunt.EnTaza.EnKajet” prepared by students from Shakarim University in Semey under the supervision of Olzhas Kumashev helps to solve the problems of urban improvement.

In the evening the participants moved to the territory of The Turquoise Katun special economic zone, where a gala concert was organized for them in one of the most beautiful places of Altai.
