November 2 was the last day of the Young Technician modular school on robotics, in which students of grade 3–5 of Altai Krai schools took part.

The school was held on the premises of the Faculty of Physics and Technology at Altai State University and hosted today students from the schools of Altai Krai.

“During the five days of school holidays, the students received initial skills in working with robots, made their first prototypes and took part in the first competitions. These are basics of robotics, which most of the participants first got familiar with at the modular school. But this is the main task of the Young Technician – to show the world of robotics to the students who previously knew almost nothing about robots,” Vice Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Vasyli Belozerskikh.

The result of the modular school was the fact that a lot of children literally realized their dream – they created their first robots and took part in robot contests.

“Another positive result of our school is the disclosure of the potential of those children who are really interested in robotics, and who did not have the opportunity to try their hand in this direction in their native village or city. We hope that these abilities will be appreciated and supported by their teachers,” Vasyli Belozerskikh said.
