1st year master’s degree student of ASU International Institute of Economics, Management and Informational Systems Anushervon Merganov took part in the All-Russian Student Forum “Education Quality: Reboot”.

Anushervon Merganov graduated from Russian-Tajik Slavic University and entered ASU this year. He is taking a master’s degree course in “Economics” at the International Institute of Economics, Management and Informational Systems in the framework of the SCO University program.

The All-Russian Student Forum “Education Quality: Reboot” organized by the Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University, the All-Russian Student Union with the support of Russian President’s Grant, Joint Student Council, and the Comission for Education Quality of the Soviet of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for Youth Affairs was held on 17–18 December 2015 in Moscow.

Its main site was the Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University. The forum participants included leading experts and government officials dealing with educational issues, specialists of socially-oriented organizations operating in this area, employers, representatives of Russian universities’ authotities and student associations interested in higher education quality improvement in our country. In total, the forum gathered around 200 students, leaders of student commissions for education quality and leading experts of different educational and noncommercial organizations from all over the country.

1st year master’s degree student of ASU International Institute of Economics, Management and Informational Systems Anushervon Merganov, who represented ASU at the Moscow forum, shared his impression of the event:

“The forum turned out to be highly topical. We discussed the relevant issues of the modern higher education with experienced speakers including the First Vice-Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for Education Vladimir V. Burmatov. The interaction with different experts was very educational and informative. Every one of them is a professional in their own sphere. Those people are not only high-level specialists, but also intelligent and interesting conversation partners, who answered our questions accurately and in detail. The outcome of the forum was adopting the “Concept of Joint Student Council’s Participation in High Education Quality Improvement”. I would also like to add, that the Moscow forum was not the first event that I had taken part in. In September I went to Issyk-Kul Lake, Kyrgyzstan, as a part of ASU delegation to participate in Asian Student Forum “Kyrgyzstan-Asia – 2015”, and then I became a delegate to the All-Russian Seminar on Intercultural Dialogue and Civic Identity in Youth Environment, which took place in the university in October. I thank the authorities of Altai State University for providing me with such opportunity!”
