Scientists of ASU and Kanazawa University plan cooperation in the field of oncology

Executive director of the Russian-American Anti-Cancer Center of Altai State University, Candidate of Biology Andrei Shapoval and research officer of the Russian-American Anti-Cancer Center Stepan Podlesnykh presented their reports at the international forum.

Andrei Shapoval delivered a speech on the work of the center, the projects being implemented and the latest research results.

"Our task was to tell the forum participants of the scientific forum about the projects carried out by the Anti-Cancer Center of Altai State University and discuss options for cooperation with Russian and Japanese colleagues. In particular, we plan to hold preliminary talks with colleagues from Kanazawa University and Krasnoyarsk State Medical University on cooperation in the field of oncology and neurophysiology, and discuss the prospects of joint development of peptide preparations," Andrei Shapoval said.

Research officer of the center Stepan Podlesnykh delivered a poster presentation at the forum, dedicated to the early diagnosis of breast cancer. Following the results of the symposium, Stepan received a diploma of the post-session laureate.

The symposium became a platform for exchange of experience in the implementation of the joint international project "Training Program for Russia-Japan Leaders of Tomorrow" implemented since 2017 at Kanazawa University with the support of the Government of Japan together with Russian partner universities: Altai State University, Krasnoyarsk State Medical University, St. Petersburg State Medical University and Kazan Federal University.
