Consul of Kazakhstan pays an official visit to ASU

On October 5, the Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Omsk Konisbek A. Zhusupbekov paid an official visit to Altai State University.

During the meeting, which was held by the Vice-Rector for International Affairs Development at ASU Roman I. Raikin and the Head of the International Affairs Department at ASU Alexei Y. Rezinkin, the consul was introduced to the main activities of the flagship university and the materials on the results of the XIV Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan.

In particular, Roman I. Raikin noted the areas of interaction of cooperation between ASU and higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan expanded, the number of joint educational programs increased, the number of students from Kazakhstan studying at the flagship university of Altai Krai grew, etc.

Konisbek A. Zhusupbekov examined the exhibits at the museum of the Association of Asian Universities, taking the particular interest in the ones brought to ASU by the colleagues from the higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, and had a look at the interactive map of the association.

After the official meeting, the consul met with the students from Kazakhstan studying at ASU.

It is to be noted that Konisbek A. Zhusupbekov officially assumed the position of Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Omsk on August 28. The consular district includes Kurgan, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Kemerovo regions, Altai Republic and Altai Krai. It is the largest consular district among all the establishments of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Russia.
