The project entitled “The Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia”, created jointly with the National Center for Social and Professional Accreditation, the Guild of Experts in the Field of Vocational Education, and the Accreditation in Education journal, presented the First Mission ranking. The title of the ranking reflects its main focus – the quality of education, because the first mission of each university is educational activity.

Flagship Altai State University received the highest expert assessment of the quality of educational programs, taking the 6th position among Russian universities, being located at the same level as the universities of the 5-100 Project – Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Novosibirsk State University and Tomsk Polytechnic University.

The project is based on the benchmarking technique – searching and identifying the best practices, as well as conducting a phased annual all-Russian internet survey of stakeholders: representatives of academic (experts in the field of education quality, university rectors, heads of educational associations, deans (directors) of faculties (institutes), heads of departments, leading scientists, etc.), professional (employers' unions and associations) and student (Russian Union of Youth) communities.
