ASU together with Nanjing University conducts the II Russian-Chinese Archeological School
As agreed by universities, the school period has increased this year. The program is very intense and includes lectures, excursions and archaeological excavations.
It began with Scientific Session of the Three Schools, which was held as part of the Life and Earth Sciences and Sustainable Global and Regional Development (Aktru-2019) Symposium carried out in Chemal Training Base, where participants and leading speakers of the “Altai Flora” Summer Botanical School, Aktru-2019 Symposium and the II Russian-Chinese Archaeological School gathered together.
Aleksey A. Tishkin, Doctor of History, Professor, Head of the Department of Archeology, Ethnography and Museology of Altai State University (Russia) and Zhang Lianzhen, PhD, Professor of Nanjing University (China), acted as program managers of the international archaeological school.
In 2018, this international school was recognized as one of the best practices of interaction between Russian and foreign universities.
The school, organized on the basis of a cooperation agreement between Nanjing University and ASU, will last until July 29, 2019.
