ASU students take part in international student hockey tournament

On October 1–6, 2019, Barnaul hosts Student Hockey Challenge-2019 for the first time in the history of Altai sports. This is an international student hockey tournament that takes place on two ice rinks of the city.

On October 1, Dynamo Altai team that consists of Altai Krai students met with ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), the team of the American University Hockey League. Altai team included two representatives of Altai State University: the team captain Ilya Vopilov, a graduate of the Faculty of Law, and Vladimir Kovalev, a student of the Faculty of Law.

Our team is the winner of the first Student Hockey Challenge, which took place in October 2018 in Krasnoyarsk and was a test event in preparation for the XXIX Winter Universiade.

In total, 8 teams from Russia, Czech Republic, the USA and Slovakia take part in the hockey tournament.

The tournament was organized with the support of the Russian Hockey Federation, the Student Hockey League, the Ministry of Sports of Altai Krai, the Council of Rectors of Altai Krai Universities.
