The IV Asian Student Forum “Tajikistan-Asia 2019” co-organized by ASU will bring together participants from 8 countries

On October 24–27, the IV Asian Student Forum of the Association of Asian Universities "Tajikistan-Asia 2019" will be held on the premises of Tajik National University in Dushanbe. The event is co-organized by Altai State University.

The forum is held for the fourth time for universities that pursue membership in the Association of Asian Universities, and has rightfully become a unique communication platform uniting students and young leaders of Central and Southeast Asia from various areas of professional activity and aimed at developing cooperation in educational, scientific, cultural, social, political and humanitarian fields.

The forum is organized by leading universities of the Association of Asian Universities – Altai State University, Tajik National University, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Rossotrudnichestvo Federal Agency. The working language of the forum is Russian.

The IV Asian Student Forum “Tajikistan-Asia 2019” will be attended by 365 participants – students, graduates, young scientists, lecturers and other representatives of university communities from 35 leading universities in 8 countries of Asia: Armenia, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. The schedule of the forum includes a coordination meeting of the Association of Asian Universities, 5 thematic sites, cultural, creative and sightseeing programs.

Altai State University will be represented by a large delegation consisting of students from different faculties, employees of the Department of International Affairs, the Department of Extracurricular and Educational Work under the leadership of Acting Vice-Rector for International Affairs Development Roman I. Raikin.

“The Asian Student Forum is traditionally organized in a network format by two leading universities of the Association of Asian Universities – Tajik National University and Altai State University. This is our know-how, and this is not the first time the forum has been held online. Experience shows that it is very productive. This format allows you to collect a good representation of universities from different countries that are members of our Association, organize interesting thematic sites. We are going to Tajikistan with great enthusiasm!” Roman I. Raikin noted.

Roman I. Raikin added that the organizers expect serious results from the IV Asian Student Forum, primarily in terms of the development of the Association of Asian Universities, student and youth cooperation within the framework of the Association in all areas. It is also planned to officially accept 10 new participants of the Association: 1 university of Kyrgyzstan, 1 university of Russia, 4 universities of Uzbekistan and 4 universities of Afghanistan.

Thus, since its creation in 2012, at the initiative of Altai State University, the Association of Asian Universities has shown steady growth, bringing together 81 leading universities from 9 Asian countries, and in the near future it will be expanded to 91 universities from 11 Asian countries – Armenia, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Malaysia, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
