The official English-language Facebook page of ASU has been launched

Today ASU IT Department has launched the official English-language Facebook page of Altai State University.

The necessity of Facebook webpage registration has escalated a long time ago. The university already has 5 official pages in other social networks, but they are only available in the Russian language. They are popular among the students, university employees, enrollees and other people, who are interested in scientific and cultural life of Altai State University. There are buttons at the bottom of the official website that take users to the social media pages.

Facebook page is one of the most popular ones. Prospective students from other countries contact the university through Facebook almost every week, especially during admission campaign. Importantly, the students come not only from CIS countries, but also from Syria, Pakistan, India, Iraq, China and other countries of the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Normally they use English to communicate and take interest in university life. Now they can do it in a more comfortable way in terms of language.

The official webpage of ASU in the English language will tell Anglophones the latest news about the university’s life, past and future events, people of the university.

ASU employees are also planning to launch a Twitter page in English after studying the demand for the English-language Facebook page.
