Faculty of Chemistry student took part in International Summer School “AgroBioTech-2016” in Moscow

International Summer School “AgroBioTech-2016” took place on 5–14 July 2016 at Russian State Agricultural University in Moscow.

The school participants included young scientists, postgraduates, master’s and bachelor’s degree students from Russian and other countries. ASU Faculty of Chemistry student Anastasia Sinitsyna also took part in the event.

The school featured lectures on the most relevant issues of agricultural biotechnologies. The speakers included lecturers of Russian State Agricultural University (G.I. Karlov, E.A. Kalashnikova, L.I. Khrustaleva, F.S. Dzhalilov, S.G. Monakhos, M.G. Divashuk, E.V. Zakharova, M.Yu. Cherednichenko, V.S. Rubets) and leading scientists working in the area of biotechnologies (A.K. Gaponenko, I.V. Goldenkova-Pavlova, Ya.I. Alekseev).

The young scientists attended practical lessons, where they mastered the skill of working with DNA, learned more about the culture of tissues and plant cells, got acquainted with biotechnological methods in agriculture.

In the course of excursion the participants visited the departments of Russian State Agricultural University and such companies as Syntol, Generium and CellTeraPharm. The attendees also took part in the Field Day. Director of historical museum of Russian State Agricultural University S.G. Velichko gave visitors an interesting tour, told them about its founders and lecturers.
