№ 36–39 of financial and economic journal “Expert Sibir” has published an article, which contains analysis of 2016 admission campaign and ranking of Siberian universities by its attractiveness for prospective students.

It is the 6th annual ranking of Siberian universities created by Expert Sibir.

Altai State University has taken one of the highest positions right after National Research Novosibirsk State University, which is the second among the higher education establishments of Eastern Europe and Central Asia according to universally accepted, international QS University Rankings: EECA 2016.

In particular, Expert Sibir noted that ASU had set a course for attracting students from Asian countries and had succeeded in it due to different forums, special events and adequate positioning.

ASU experienced minor decline in the number of admitted foreign students this year, which is explained by high load on the university’s dormitories. At the same time, the university will continue developing and will put new dormitory with 1,000 beds into service next year. Thus, foreign students, who need accommodation, are very likely to get a bed in the comfortable dormitory in the center of Barnaul.
