Apart from theoretical courses and tutorials, students take part in practical training at Altai Center for Apllied Biotechnology and go on excursions around Altai State University and Barnaul. Training Center under the Faculty of Biology has been operating for less than a year, although it has already started attracting substantial interest. The faculty has received the foreign trainees for the second time and it is to provide the third internship in June 2017.

“The main objective of the Training Center is implementing retraining program for senior bachelor’s degree students for them to get qualification as lecturers in biology and ecology and receive standard-issue certificates. First of all, we aim at the students of our faculty, because they cannot work in schools without such qualification. However, the activity of our center has expanded in recent times. We organize research internships for young scientists and educational programs for pupils in biology and ecology. We deliver internationally recognized certificates to foreign citizens on internship completion,” said Candidate of Biology, Head of the Training Center, Vice-Dean for Educational Work at the Faculty of Biology Elena V. Shapetko.
