ASU organizes international youth conference on life sciences

On 11–16 September 2017 Altai State University will become a platform for communication between students, young scientists and lecturers in the framework of the forum on life sciences. The conference will combine two events – the first international youth scientific conference and the third youth biotechnological school on recombinant proteins and vaccines.

“This is the first time, when we organize forum dedicated to three fields of youth science that are of great importance for the university. At the conference the young scientists will present projects and results of their research in life sciences and share their opinions with colleagues from other educational establishments and scientific institutions from Russia and foreign countries. We hope that this communication will make a significant contribution to research work at Altai State University. We also believe that ties between young scientists, which will be created in the course of the forum, will help them realize joint scientific project in future,” Deputy Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Development of Altai State University Alexander G. Miroshnichenko said.

The conference will host representatives of universities and institutes from Moscow, Voronezh, Perm, Orenburg, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, and other cities of Russia, as well as delegations from the United States of America, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

The program of the forum will include a number of lecture sessions, where scientists will present their reports on the problems of medicine, biology, biotechnology, genetics, and plant breeding. In particular, they will touch upon such topics as molecular diagnostic of human diseases, medical biotechnology and bioengineering, genetic resources of plants and their usage in breeding, biotechnology and bioengineering of plants, and so on.

The best reports by students and young scientists will be honored with certificates. Based on the results of the conference, collective volume of scientific papers will be published.
