Round University Ranking (RUR), the Russian ranking agency, has prepared six subject ratings on humanitarian, social, biological (life sciences), medical, natural and technical sciences.

In the life sciences ranking 22 Russian universities are represented. Altai State University ranked 14th among Russian universities and 464th in the world list, leaving behind 3 participants of the 5-100 project. ASU also captured the 1st position among the flagship higher education establishments of Russia that managed to enter this subject ranking.

It is to be noted that ASU entered the top 250 universities of the world ranking list, called the Silver League, for such parameters of the subject rating as the level of internationalization (10% of the rating of the university) and the level of financial stability (also 10% of the rating).

RUR is the first global university ranking prepared by the Russian agency. RUR university ranking involves estimation of 20 parameters grouped into four dimensions: quality of teaching (40% of the university rating), quality of research (40%), internationalization level (10%), financial stability (10%).

RUR ranking agency was created in 2013. Apart from publishing the university rankings, it is also the official representative of Times Higher Education, the British international ranking, in Russia and CIS countries. RUR also provides consulting services in the field of university assessment.
