Kanazawa University thanks ASU for organizing summer school for Japanese students

Altai State University has recently received a letter of gratitude from the partner Kanazawa University (Japan).

The Japanese university thanks Vice-Rector for International Affairs Development R.I. Raikin and supervisor of the internship program, Head of the Department of Recreational Geography, Tourism and Regional Marketing A.G. Redkin for the high level of organization and content of the program and expresses the hope for further strengthening of cooperation.

Russian-Japanese School for Young Researchers dedicated to protected natural areas of Russia was held at Altai State University from August 27 to September 1, 2018.

25 students of different majors of Kanazawa University participated in the school organized within the framework of the program of academic exchanges financed by the Government of Japan and events designed to approve the mechanism for attracting foreign citizens to the Russian programs of additional education in the priority project "Development of the Export Potential of the Russian Education System”.

The program of the school on the protected natural areas included lectures, master classes, excursions, a cultural program and, of course, a lively, informal communication between Japanese students and lecturers of Altai State University. Particular attention was paid to the similarities and differences in approaches to protected natural areas and the problems of sustainable regional development in Japan and Russia.

In turn, 8 representatives of Altai State University have already visited Kanazawa University under various programs of academic mobility in 2018.
