Altai State University holds seminar for residents of the Russian-Chinese Youth Business Incubator

The Russian stage of the Russian-Chinese Youth Business Incubator project takes place in Altai Krai on September 21–29.

Director of the Center for the Development of Technological Entrepreneurship, Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Management of ASU Olga A. Vysotskaya told the participants about the technology entrepreneurship and the trends of innovative development in the framework of the training seminar.

“I have been holding this seminar for the second year in a row, and it always causes interest among young entrepreneurs. I touched upon the essence of technological startups, institutes of innovation support in our country, state support of technological business in Russia and so on. The main emphasis was placed on the National Technology Initiative, a program of measures to form fundamentally new markets and create conditions for Russia's global technological leadership by 2035. And today, most innovation support institutions focus on startups created in the logic of NTI,” Olga A. Vysotskaya explained. “Residents of the business incubator learned about grant support programs for innovative projects, successful experience of our region in the field of technological business, and ways of productive interaction that can be implemented in our country and with state support.”

This year, two projects from ASU became residents of the Russian-Chinese Youth Business Incubator: “Technology for Growing Medicinal Raw Materials with Desired Properties” made by student of the Faculty of Chemistry at Altai State University Dmitry Karpitsky and supervised by L.I. Tikhomirova, and “Technology for the Production of Ingredients for Functional Nutrition Based on Various Types of Lupine” made by postgraduate student of the Faculty of Chemistry at Altai State University Nikolai Petrin and supervised by Ya.S. Bulgakova.

The regional representative office of the Russian-Chinese Youth Business Incubator has been operating in Altai Krai for two years. At the Chinese stage of the project, entrepreneurs from Altai Krai will go on an internship, which will be held in the province of Jilin. Altai residents of the business incubator will visit Chinese enterprises, large manufacturing companies and technology parks, get to know and work with investors. The Altai delegation will travel to China in October.
