ASU organized over 50 development sites for schoolchildren as part of the All-Russian Science Festival

One of the largest social projects in the field of science popularization – the All-Russian Science Festival "Nauka 0+" took place in Altai on October 11–12.

The main idea of the festival was to popularize scientific and innovative activities, attracting the attention of a wide range of people to the research work necessary for the development of society. It is important to demonstrate the place and role of science in the modern world, to show the relevance and necessity of introducing scientific knowledge into people's lives.

The Science Festival was aimed at strengthening the ties of science with schools, the media, people interested in science and innovation. Events of the festival contributed to the emergence of new innovative ideas, the coverage of promising scientific research.

Altai State University took an active part in it. On October 12, every faculty and institute of ASU prepared informative lectures, master classes, and developmental sites for festival guests, where it was possible to take part in real scientific experiments.

At the entrance of each ASU building of ASU, volunteers distributed programs and helped guests to navigate the eventful scenario of the scientific holiday. Since the early morning, the university had been receiving not only families, but large groups of schoolchildren. Most of the guests were schoolchildren from the 6th to 11th grades. A lot of them admitted that they dreamed of entering the university and becoming famous scientists.

The Faculty of Mathematics prepared creative tasks and unusual experiments with numbers, formulas and equations.

The Faculty of Physics and Technology attracted schoolchildren with the robotics platform.

The Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies surprised and intrigued the public with spectacular experiments: here one could see "artificial blood", "pharaoh's snakes", "invisible ink" and other chemical miracles.

The Faculty of History held a school for young archaeologists, a master class "The Riddles of the Celestial Empire", and calligraphy lessons.

A lot of attendies decided to visit the Faculty of Arts and Design. Within the framework of the festival, the faculty organized several creative events: an open lecture on Siberian artists, an open lecture on the Russian avant-garde, master classes on design and style, a musinal concert.

The Faculty of Biology prepared an exciting laboratory on vertebrates. The Faculty of Geography invited guests to the expedition. A master class was held here on how to properly pack a backpack, make a fire and not get lost in the forest.

The Institute of Law interested the guests with a game on Forensic Science secrets: schoolchildren took part in staged investigative actions, tried on the role of witnesses and investigators.
