The biologists have published a new article about the biological diversity of Altai in a journal listed in Web of Science

ASU entomologists E.V. Guskova and R.V. Yakovlev have published a new article in the Spanish journal "SHILAP Revista de Lepidopterologia" in collaboration with the scientists from Chelyabinsk. SHILAP (Sociedad Hispano-Luso-Americana de Lepidopterología) is a Lepidoptera Society of Spain and South America.The article is dedicated to the research results concerning hawk moths (Sphingidae) of Mongolian Altai. Two species of these beautiful butterflies were studied for the first time. The hamian hawk moth was found in Hami oasis at the South-West of China, its biology and food chain were established.

"At this moment, we have an advantage in the study of insects of Mongolian Altai and in the whole Altai mountain territory. A critical mass of research has been gathered, and any study of the research material results in publications is at the very high level", - says Candidate of Biological Sciences, Assistant Professor of the Department of Zoology and Physiology, Elena V. Guskova.
