ASU scientists study Archive of the President of Kazakhstan

Scientists of Altai State University made a working trip to the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Last week Head of the “Kazakhstan Way – Nursultan Nazarbaev” Department of Altai State University, Doctor of History, Professor Julia A. Lysenko and Assistant Professor Irina V. Anisimova visited the Archive.

The trip was aimed at studying the documents and establishing scientific and educational ties. In particular, ASU scientists met with Director of the Archive, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Boris A. Dzhaparov in order to discuss prospects for cooperation between Altai State University and the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The “Kazakhstan Way – Nursultan Nazarbaev” Department was opened on October 8, 2014 in the framework of The VIII Education Week of SCO Countries and The V Meeting of the Ministers of Education of SCO Countries at Altai State University. The department is a structural unit of ASU. It has its own collection of books on Kazakhstan, while its lecturers teach courses on the modern history of Kazakhstan.

Julia Lysenko took an active part in The XIV Forum of Trans-Regional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan, which was held in Chelyabinsk on November 8–9, 2017. On November 9 the exhibition stand of Altai State University was visited by Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation O.Yu. Vasilyeva. Here a teleconference was held with the “Kazakhstan Way – Nursultan Nazarbaev” Department. O.Yu. Vasilyeva wished Kazakh students success in studying and strengthening friendly international relations between Russia and Kazakhstan.

It is to be added that as a result of The XIV Forum of Trans-Regional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan, Russian President V.V. Putin noted the Altai State University as one of the most promising universities for the development of cooperation with Kazakhstan.
