ASU takes part in the VIII Russian-Japanese Forum of Rectors

On September 23, the VIII Russian-Japanese Forum of Rectors and the II Russian-Japanese Student Forum opened at M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The forum was attended by rectors, vice-rectors, professors and students of more than 40 universities of the two countries. Altai State University was represented by the Acting Vice-Rector for International Affairs Development Roman I. Raikin and student of the Faculty of Biology Natalia V. Stolyar.

R.I. Raikin made a report on the experience of Altai State University in the development of cooperation with universities and scientific organizations in Japan.

In addition, the Forum hosted the second meeting of the Association of Russian and Japanese Universities, which was created in 2016 and promotes the development of academic exchanges, the creation of joint educational programs, laboratories and scientific research. ASU is a member of the Association’s Committee on Human Resources Exchange, which met on September 24. The main topic of discussion was the mechanisms for recognizing learning outcomes at partner universities in Russia and Japan in order to launch joint educational programs at all educational levels, including double-degree programs.

R.I. Raikin presented a successful ASU case on the development and implementation of summer and winter schools of various profiles together with Kanazawa University and Saitama University.

The work of the Russian-Japanese Student Forum will last until September 28.
