Prospective students from 10 countries applied to ASU

The number of prospective students from foreign countries, who wish to receive their higher education at Altai State University, grows year by year.

In 2017 436 foreign citizens have already submitted their documents to the Admission Board of Altai State University. They represent the following countries of Europe, Central and South-East Asia, and Middle East: Ukraine, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, China, Vietnam, and Syria.

According to Executive Secretary at the Admission Board I.I. Nazarov, the number of international students is not final, as the admission process continues to be carried out. By the end of September the number of prospective students from foreign countries is supposed to increase (predominantly by virtue of students from China). The majority of foreigners have chosen to take bachelor’s and specialist’s degree courses.

Traditionally, the majority of international students have come to ASU from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and China. On the whole, enrollees from 10 countries have already applied to Altai State University. This year ASU admits students from Vietnam and Syria for the first time.
