Altai State University and Harvard University signed a memorandum of cooperation

Altai State University signed a memorandum of cooperation with Harvard University, one of the most famous universities in the world and the oldest university in the USA.

The delegation of Altai State University lead by the Head of the Department of Archeology, Ethnography and Museology at the Faculty of History of Altai State University, Doctor of History, Professor Alexey Tishkin paid an official visit to Harvard University located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

During the meeting, it was decided to sign a memorandum of cooperation between ASU and Harvard University with a view to further internationalization of higher education and consolidation of mutually beneficial cooperation in educational activities, joint events and scientific research.

"This memorandum is the first step towards the implementation of projects related to the scientific and educational activities of our universities. We are developing a specific step-by-step plan for cooperation, corresponding to all the norms prescribed by the legislation of our country. All requirements for publications of scientific materials, copyrights, as well as other nuances that are usually considered in the framework of international cooperation will be taken into account," Professor Tishkin said.

In accordance with the signed memorandum, the parties assumed the obligation to carry out academic mobility programs for students and teachers of both educational institutions, in particular to realize exchange of students for the purposes of research and education, exchange of teachers, staff and scientists for joint studies and research activities, organization seminars, symposia, conferences, short-term training programs, etc.
