The unique communication platform, which is being organized at ASU for the fifth time, has united active young people from 11 Asian countries who realize themselves in various fields of professional activity. These are 19 young leaders, representatives of the educational, social, political, cultural and business circles of Armenia, Vietnam, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Japan, Sri Lanka.

“Today ASU has become a platform where young people from the countries of Central and Southeast Asia are ready to share their experience in implementing international, scientific, educational, and cultural projects. Altai State University adheres to a clear vector of the development of international cooperation, primarily with Central Asian countries, therefore it is important and necessary for us to hold an event of this level and nature,” Altai State University Rector of Altai State University Sergey N. Bocharov said at the opening of the forum. “In order to achieve good competitive position in the international educational space, we integrate with universities of other countries. About 5 percent of invited foreign specialists now work among ASU lecturers. We actively cooperate with universities in other countries, where we open representative centers, centers of the Russian language. All this brings its natural results, affirming our university’s high positions in prestigious world rankings."

According to Dmitry I. Petrov, head of the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Barnaul, the international forum organized at Altai State University is a significant event in the development of interregional educational and scientific ties, and in general cross-border humanitarian cooperation.
