Education in Russia for foreign citizens

Altai State University invites foreign citizens and Russian compatriots living abroad to participate in the competition for education at ASU within the quota established by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of October 8, 2013 No. 891 “On establishing a quota for the education of foreign citizens and individuals without citizenship in the Russian Federation”.

Training of foreign citizens within the quota provides the opportunity for free training on the selected educational programs with scholarship support. Foreign citizens are ensured equal rights with Russian students throughout the entire period of study.

Entrants are open to admission to undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs.

To participate in the competition, it is necessary to submit an application and provide a set of documents to the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the candidate's country of residence.

List of required documents:

  • Completed application (Questionnaire) with an attached color photograph.
  • Copies of education documents indicating the subjects studied and grades obtained (points); Pupils of schools present a certificate of graduation with grades for the last six months.
  • Copy of the medical report on the absence of contraindications for training in the Russian Federation, issued by the official body of the candidate’s country of residence.
  • Copy of the medical certificate on the absence of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and AIDS disease issued by the official body of the candidate’s country of residence.
  • Copies of the pages of the passport through which the foreign citizen will cross the border of the Russian Federation, valid for at least 18 months from the start date of the entry study visa (clearly readable pages containing the setting data for issuing the invitation).
  • Copy of birth certificate (if any).
  • Copies of documents (diplomas of international and national (city and other) contests and olympiads).
  • For applicants for postgraduate study programs (optional): abstract in Russian and / or English; list of publications.

Deadlines for submission of documents:

  • until March 1, 2015: CIS, Baltic States, Abkhazia, South Ossetia.
  • until April 1, 2015: North, Latin America, Europe.
  • until May 1, 2015: Africa, the Middle East, Asia (excluding: Iran, Djibouti - until June 30; India - until July 15; Oman, Palestine, Jordan - until August 15).
