Altai State University became a winner of Russian Universities MEDIAactivity – 2015 and joined the ranks of 15 higher education institutions with high PR-factor.

In the framework of the competition the media-activity of universities and their leaders in different areas was analyzed: university’s media-activity in social networks, rector’s media-activity, event-related media-activity and publication activity.

“As a result, all Russian Universities MEDIAactivity project participants were given the PR-factor – a rate of yearly media-activity of a university. In other words, it is an integral estimation of the efficiency of university’s informational policy, which is determined by quantitative and qualitative indexes and allows a university to see its position relative to other Russian higher education institutions. Consequently, for the first time in Russia informational and analytical publication activity was analyzed, not the scientific one,” specifies chairman of the Competition Expert Committee, head of the Department of Journalism of Accreditation in Education journal editorial board, Candidate of Pedagogics Yekaterina P. Sindeeva.

According to the results of expert evaluations, only 15 Russian universities have scored the highest PR-factor points. No one got the top score of 10 points, 8 or 9 points at most. Besides Altai State University, there are also Astrakhan State Medical University, North Transural State Agricultural University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University, Rostov State University of Economics, Peter the Great Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University, Sakhalin State University, Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University, Siberian State Aerospace University, Siberian Federal University, Tyumen State Oil and Gas University, University of Management TISBI, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, who have been listed in the ranking.
