In the framework of ASU representation centers’ activities in the near-abroad countries, the working trip of the Head of the ASU Department of Enrollment and Employment Elena N. Goncharova to Kyrgyzstan was conducted.

By reason of representation center’s preparations in the city of Osh, Elena N. Goncharova managed to hold presentations and introductory lectures in 4 cities of Kyrgyzstan – Osh, Uzgen, Kurshab and Kyzyl-Kia. There were also schoolers of Kadamjay District participating in the meetings.

“We conduct the trips to near-abroad country every year for the purpose of sharing the information on the education opportunities at Altai State University. We show them materials, admission regulations, demo versions of the tests, distribute educational materials among them. In short, our main objective is to inform,” specified Elena N. Goncharova. “There are quite a lot of Russian-speaking schools in Kyrgyzstan and the interest in Russia and Russian universities is great. This is the reason why I was able to interact with a big number of schoolers – about 400 upper-form pupils in total.”

As an outcome of the working trip the contact details of the prospective students were gathered for the purpose of further targeting work and creating the database of foreign pupils. According to Elena N. Goncharova, this work can be called a preliminary stage of the new enrollment campaign.
