ASU participated in organization of international IT forum
The platform is annually held on the premises of Altai State University and hosts school teachers and university lecturers, who are interested in discussion of the topics connected with practical application of information technologies in education. In particular, such relevant issues as implementation of electronic education technologies, enhancement of digital equipment efficiency, and different technological tools for education.
The event program included plenary reports delivered by the leading specialists, 3 topic-related seminars and 14 masterclasses, including 2 open masterclasses for everyone interested in the usage of game technologies for development of children’s cognitive activity and mastering of general educational skills.
Head of ASU IT Department Mikhail A. Ryazanov attended the opening of the platform and told the audience about digital educational environment at Altai State University and smart concept developed by ASU specialists for management of municipal economy and creation of comfortable urban setting.
“Digital Economy, a project developed by the Russian Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications, is currently one of the top priority programs in our country. In the framework of this program, 50 smart cities are to be created in Russia by 2025. Altai State University as a flagship university of Russia participates in the project and has already prepared a smart city concept for Barnaul. Our university is interested in this topic. Moreover, this direction will be developed at ASU and we are ready for cooperation. Distance education has also been actively developed at the university. Thus, this year we have created a considerable number of distance training courses and develop the system of open platforms that will be useful for students of ASU and other educational establishments.”
The attendees of the forum at ASU also discussed the opportunities for joint work of different educational organizations aimed at improving the quality of pupils’ training in programming, information technologies, etc.
