AltSU talented applicants expect scholarships up to 35 thousand rubles (reported National Training Foundation)

The website of National Training Foundation Flagship Universities of Russia reported that Altai State University has approved an updated scholarship program in order to support students having high academic achievements with increased scholarships when becoming an AltSU student.

Increased scholarships are provided for several categories of students who entered full-time undergraduate and specialist programs in 2020:

•  winners and prize-winners of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren and members of the Russian national teams participating in international olympiads in general educational subjects - 35,000.00 rubles

•  winners and prize-winners of inter-university subject olympiads - 30,000.00 rubles

•  those who entered the institutes (Institute of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Institute of Geography, Institute of Management and Information Technology, Institute of Digital Technology, Electronics and Physics, Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Pharmaceutical Technologies, Institute of Teacher Education, Institute of Arts and Design (applied informatics), International Institute of Economics, Management and Information Systems (applied informatics, quality management, system analysis), of the AltSU branches (Slavgorod and Rubtsovsk), according to the USE results and internal entrance tests in subjects: mathematics, computer science and ICT, physics, biology, chemistry, geography and social science, and having high scores in these subjects - up to 12,000.00 rubles

•  those who entered the institutes (Institute of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Institute of Geography, Institute of Management and Information Technology, Institute of Digital Technology, Electronics and Physics, Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Pharmaceutical Technologies, Institute of Teacher Education, Institute of Arts and Design (applied informatics) of AltSU branches (in the city of Slavgorod and Rubtsovsk), having a diploma of non-university level of higher education with honors and no less than 230 points based on the results of internal entrance tests or USE - 10 000 rubles

•  having 100 points in the Unified State Examination in one or more subjects of entrance examinations - 10,000.00 rubles

•  with a certificate of (complete) secondary education with honors and at least 230 points at the exam or in the subjects of entrance examinations - 8,000.00 rubles

•  total winners of the Open Subject Olympiad for schoolchildren of Altai State University “Conquer the University” and the winners or prize-winners of the Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia) or the Young Professionals (WorldSkills Junior) championship - 5,000.00 rubles.

“In the academic year of 2020/2021, Altai State University increases scholarships up to 30,000 rubles for winners and prize-winners of inter-university Olympiads for schoolchildren. There is a special category of winners and prize-winners of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren, as well as members of the Russian national teams who participated in international Olympiads in general educational subjects for which a scholarship of 35,000 rubles was established” highlighted Elena V. Tereshchenko, Head of the Altai State University Recruiting Department. “ The recipients of the increased scholarship are traditionally students of the natural science fields of study, as well as school graduates who have scored 100 points at the Unified State Exam, “medalists” and winners and prize-winners of our Olympiad for schoolchildren, and The Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia) or (Junior Skills) championships and competitions”.

It is worth mentioning that students of the state-funded education actively involved in academic, creative, sports, social or scientific life receive mega-scholarships by the decision of the university’s scholarship committee, the size of which can over 20,000.00 rubles per month.
In addition, annual scholarship competitions are held at AltSU. The best students receive scholarships from the President of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation, the Governor of the Altai Territory, the administration of the city of Barnaul, the Academic Council of the University, etc.

“Altai State University is conducting focused work to attract gifted children to get higher education in AltSU. In particular, AltSU provides the opportunity to study at Yandex - Lyceum, to master additional educational programs of “scientific Saturdays”, which are implemented in cooperation with the Sirius Educational Center, the university has effectively implemented an academic mobility program for organizing foreign student internships, and a number of other measures” - Elena emphasized. “And from September 2020, the Center for Continuing Education of Children House of Scientific Collaboration will be opened on the basis of the university".
