Faculty of Arts strengthens cooperation with the universities of Kazakhstan

In November 2017, on the basis of a cooperation agreement, Doctor of Arts, Professor Tamara Stepanskaya paid a working visit to S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University. Tamara Stepanskaya took part in The IX Toraighyrov Readings International Scientific and Practical Conference with the plenary report entitled "Scientific and Art Schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

"The Toraighyrov Readings are dedicated to the poet, writer, public figure, democrat, who stood at the origins of Kazakhstan culture of the first quarter of the 20th century. There is every reason to talk about the scientific and art schools in Kazakhstan," Tamara Stepanskaya asserted. “Our Kazakhstan colleagues have defended 21 theses, including 2 doctoral, 14 candidate and 5 master's theses since we started cooperating. Most of them had been prepared under my supervision. The theses cover the fine arts, history of culture and education of Pavlodar, Aktyubinsk, Astana, Alma-Ata. My scientific report appeared to be interesting for the audience and triggered a discussion. It was of a benevolent nature and showed the great interest of lecturers and students in the history of the culture of their country. The joint publications of Pavlodar State University and Altai State University attracted attention as well.”

Executive secretary of the conference organizing committee Zh.S. Abdalimova noted high efficiency of cooperation between Russian and Kazakh universities:

"On November 14, Professor Tamara Stepanskaya held a scientific and practical seminar on the role of art and education in the humanization of society through innovative technologies. The seminar was attended by representatives of the colleges, schools, kindergartens of Pavlodar and more than ten districts of Pavlodar Oblast. After the seminar, participants received international certificates. Tamara Stepanskaya carried out tutorials for postgraduate students of Pavlodar State University and Pavlodar State Pedagogical Institute. The "Modern Models of Library Services: Results of Implementation and Prospects for Development (on the Regional Material)" monograph prepared by the international team consisting of Doctor of Arts, Professor Т.М. Stepanskaya, Candidate of Arts D.M. Murgaliev and lecturer of the Department of Performing Arts at Pavlodar State University Zh.S. Abdalimova is to be published soon.”
