The delegation of the Faculty of Arts and Design of Altai State University, led by Dean Larisa I. Nekhvyadovich, organized an excursion around the Church of Saint John the Evangelist for the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction of Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Ravil M. Muksinov. Ravil M. Muksinov took part in the First International Altaistic Forum "Turkic-Mongolian World of the Great Altai: Historical and Cultural Heritage and Modernity", which was held on September 12–14 at Altai State University.

The excursion took place at the complex that consists of the Church of Saint John the Evangelist, a church in honor of 14,000 Bethlehem martyrs, a training center for ringer art with a bell-tower in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God “The Enlightening” and a museum of bells.

Professor at the Department of Cultural Studies and Design at the Faculty of Arts and Design of ASU, Doctor of Arts Yuri A. Kreidun, who supervises the construction of this church and is famous for his practice in the area of church architecture and design, told the guests about the features of the church.

“We told Ravil M. Muksinov about the history of the construction of the complex and the peculiarities of its architecture, which presents different areas of Christian art. This is the uniqueness of the Church of Saint John the Evangelist. Our guest from Kyrgyzstan has his own rich architectural experience, including in temple construction, and he was interested in getting to know our best practices,” Yuri A. Kreidun specified.

Ravil M. Muksinov was impressed by the event.

“In every city I visit, first of all I try to visit the temple, regardless of religion. It is no coincidence that they say that all roads lead to the temple. Since the temple, in my opinion, is the quintessence of all the achievements of people in the field of culture. I was impressed by not only the architectural ensemble of the Church of Saint John the Evangelist, but also by Yuri A. Kreidun, who is an example of a spiritualized person,” Ravil M. Muksinov noted. “I am familiar with such an architectural object, since I was also involved in the construction of temples. I know how difficult this project is, but if you design and build a temple, it means that you have completed a holy work. We plan to actively cooperate with Altai State University, including in the field of training specialists in this area of architecture."
