Festival of ethnic cultures in the framework of Altai-Asia 2017 forum
International Student Festival of Ethnic Cultures was held at the end of day 3 of The III International Student Forum “Altai-Asia 2017”. The organization of the concers was supported by administration of The Turquoise Katun special economic zone.
Opening the festival, Vice Rector for International Affairs Development Roman I. Raikin welcomed the forum delegates:
“Dear friends! I am glad to welcome you here, in the heart of Asia, at the crossroads of the worlds and civilizations. Thank you for coming and warming the nature with your hearts. The weather is sunny again, and the festival is wonderful. Cooperation between Asian countries is very active and it can deal with any issues!”
The festival participants included 12 creative teams and solo performers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and China. 24 performances played by young artists were presented to the audience.
Altai State University was represented by its vocal studios, solo singers, and dance teams. The guests’ feelings were touched by performances of a dance team from L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan), master of morin khuur from Mongolia Rakchi Baatar Suren, dancer from Musa Ryskulbekov Kyrgyz Economic University Aizhan Bakirova, young choreographer from Altai State Cultural Institute Julia Akhmatova, etc.
All in all, there were over 150 attendees, as the guests and employees at The Turquoise Katun joined the delegates of Altai-Asia with great pleasure. At the end of the program the participants enjoyed 20 volleys of fireworks symbolizing the number of universities included in the Association of Asian Universities, which had sent their delegates to The III International Student Forum “Altai-Asia 2017”.
Creative program was prepared by Dean of the Faculty of Arts L.I. Nekhvyadovich, Assistant Porfessor of the Department of Russian and International Art History K.A. Melekhova, and Director of the Center for Student Creativity and Leisure A.E. Korobkov.
