ASU presents the experience in educational cooperation at the Education Week of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization

The role of Altai State University in strengthening the SCO University and relations between the universities of Russia and Tajikistan was highly appreciated by the participants of the XII Education Week of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The experience and prospects for the development of networking cooperation between universities in the Asian scientific and educational space were presented by the President of Altai State University, Vice-President of the Association of Asian Universities Sergey Zemlyukov. He gave a presentation in the opening part of the plenary session at the XII Education Week of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The XII Education Week of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in Dushanbe on the premises of the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan and Tajik National University on November 22–23. The purpose of the event was the further development of interstate cooperation in the field of higher education and other areas.

Speaking at the plenary meeting, the President of ASU reported on the main results of the university’s work in the framework of the SCO University and the Association of Asian Universities in 2012–2018: joint projects and educational programs, promising directions for the development of international networking.

Sergey Zemlyukov emphasized the need to further strengthen scientific and educational ties with the leading universities in Tajikistan, Tajik National University and Russian-Tajik Slavonic University, which have great potential for development in the format of the SCO University and the Association of Asian Universities.

The event program included meetings of ASU representatives with the Rector of Tajik National University, representatives of the university and students.
