Students of Kyrgyz National University and Kyrgyz National Agrarian University underwent Regional Studies educational program at the Faculty of History and Ecology program at the Faculty of Geography in the framework of the SCO University.

Acting Vice-Rector for International Affairs Development Roman I. Raikin, Head of International Relations Office Alexey Yu. Rezinkin, Head of the Department of International Educational Programs and Academic Mobility Svetlana V. Glushanina and 1st category specialist of the Center for Work with Foreign Students Rimma T. Elemanova made welcoming speeches at the ceremony.

“The SCO University is the most active network university in Central Asia. We are not giving the certificates of the SCO for the first time, but what is important is that these students graduated from educational programs developed by us jointly with our colleagues from Kyrgyz National University and Kyrgyz National Agrarian University. We hope that this is the resource that will allow us to develop further cooperation with the universities of Kyrgyzstan,” Roman I. Raikin said.

Certificates of the SCO University were awarded to 6 master students. It should also be noted that Altai State University is a recognized leader in the preparation of Regional Studies and Ecology educational programs of the SCO University.

ASU, the head (base) university of the SCO University, was admitted to the community in 2012, and signed the first agreements with partner universities in 2013. The number of students coming to the flagship university of Altai Krai in the framework of the SCO University program is growing every year. This academic year, 36 students from different countries underwent training at ASU.
