Hundreds of young people in Kyrgyzstan attended lectures of teachers from AltSU

A wide audience was gathered by guest lecturers of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language of Altai State University in Kyrgyzstan. The result of the meetings was an agreement to hold a summer school and the expansion of international cooperation of AltSU.

The visit of candidates of philological sciences, an associate professors Maria Sorokina and Marina Titova to schools and universities in the city of Osh took place as part of the state program of the Russian Federation "Development of Education" at the end of September and was timed to coincide with the 85th anniversary of Altai Krai.

More than 200 students of the Faculty of Russian Philology attended lectures devoted to Altai at Osh State University. For 30 teachers of Osh State University and International University named after K.Sh. Toktomamatov (Jalal-Abad, Kyrgyzstan), teachers of Altai State University held a round table "Country and Regional Studies: Topical Issues in Teaching Methods." As a result, they developed plans for the joint organization of summer schools in 2023 and a plan for methodological cooperation between universities. Participants received certificates from AltSU.

More than 100 high school students from three Kyrgyz schools took part in a thematic lecture about Altai, where they learned interesting facts about Altai State University and Barnaul. The final event was a musical quiz for seventh graders from four Kyrgyz schools. The jury included Head of the Russian Center in the city of Osh Zanfira Miskichekova, chairman of the Osh Regional Association of Ethnic Russians Olga Korchagina, director of the school-gymnasium No. 6 Elena Budnikova, as well as teachers from Altai State University. The winners and participants of the quiz received certificates of the classical university.
