A memorandum of cooperation between AltSU and Shenzhen MSU-BIT University to be developed following the results of the international conference in Shenzhen

On June 16–17, Director of the Institute of Law, Doctor of Law Anton Vasiliev took part in the second international conference "Modern Society, State and Law", organized jointly by the Universities of Russia and China by the Moscow State University-Beijing Polytechnic University in Shenzhen.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the PRC Andrey Denisov, Director of the Shenzhen Bureau of Education, Doctor of Law Chen Qiuming, Rector of the University of Moscow State Pedagogical Institute Li Hezhang, leading Russian and Chinese jurists spoke at the conference. The conference was chaired by Vice-Rector of the University, Head of the Center for Comparative Law of MSU-BIT, Doctor of Law, Professor Sergey Shakhrai.

In his speech, Professor Anton Vasiliev touched upon the issues of legal regulation of international scientific and technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China: the experience of creating joint technology parks, supporting joint scientific projects, and technology transfer. The report focused on measures to support science in the PRC: programs to popularize science, commercialize scientific developments, return Chinese scientists to China with the help of incentive measures (housing, laboratories, scientific schools, and high wages).

Based on the results of the report, Professor Sergey Shakhrai suggested that the Institute of Law of Altai State University and MSU-BIT University develop a memorandum of cooperation and determine the range of joint scientific projects regarding the legal regulation of scientific and technical activities in both China and Russia.

During this event, Sergei Shakhrai noted that space research should be carried out jointly by scientists from leading space powers.
