Master student of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies of Altai State University received a grant support of 500 thousand rubles

On August 12, 2020, the Innovation Promotion Foundation summed up the results of the competition for the UMNIK program within the framework of the federal project Human Resources for the Digital Economy of the national program Digital Economy of the Russian Federation.

Vyacheslav Maul, a graduate student of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies of Altai State University, received a grant support in the amount of 500 thousand rubles for the implementation of the project "Development of the technology for intellectual analysis of auscultatory sounds of the lungs in children" (scientific supervisor - Associate Professor of the Department of Informatics Alexey Piyanzin) The project will solve a difficult task of early and more accurate diagnosis of lung diseases in children. This is especially relevant in the context of the spread of pneumonia of various etiologies (including those caused by COVID-19) and other lung diseases in the pediatric population. The created technology will make it possible to predict and analyze a disease at an early stage using the sounds of lungs auscultation in children.

The AltSU project, which received support in the UMNIK - Digital Russia competition, is being developed for the HealthNet market of the National Technology Initiative in the field of Personalized Medicine.

"The proposed technology is necessary for primary health care, especially in remote areas, which will improve the quality of medical care”, notes Olga Vysotskaya, Director of the Center for the Development of Technological Entrepreneurship, Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Management at Altai State University.
