3 April 2020 Department of World History and International Relations
An international Internet conference of Altai School of Political Studies on the topic “Global historical events of the 20th century and national options for the politics of memory” began its work in Altai State University.

In a complex epidemiological situation, remote technologies acquire a special role in science and education. Since 2002, Altai School of Political Studies (ASPS) has held Internet conferences annually in Altai State University, in which dozens of researchers from different cities of Russia and foreign countries participated. Now this experience is especially in demand.
This year the conference is dedicated to a highly relevant topic: "Global historical events of the 20th century and national options for the politics of memory." The co-organizers are the Department of World History and International Relations (AltSU Institute of History and International Relations) and the Russian Association of Political Science.

It is planned to study the features of ideas formed in the mass consciousness about key events in world history of the 20th century (such as world wars, revolutions, decolonization processes, the Cold War, the collapse of empires and multinational states, etc.). Attention will be paid to the topic of the formation of identities under the influence of the politics of memory.
On the first day of the Internet conference, 5 reports were received from colleagues from the Republic of Armenia, Moscow, Perm, Omsk and Tomsk:

•  Mironov V.V. (Omsk). “Children of Darkness” and “International Society”: Colonial Policy in the Assessment of the English School of International Relations
