ASU has joined the ranking of 150 world top universities according to Quacquarelli Symonds

Altai State University is the only Altai university which has become one of the best 150 universities of BRICS countries according to British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

In comparison with the previous year ASU has made a large gain in the ranking, moving up by about 50 places. The University has demonstrated the highest growth rate among all universities in the ranking.

ASU was ranked 141-150 in QS University Rankings: BRICS 2015 making way for the Russian Presidental Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA). All in all, there 38 Russian Universities among the 150 best BRICS universities.

The ranking is based on the opinion of the academic and business community, the ratio of lecturers to students, the amount of academic publications, citation index, the ration of Doctors of Science to the total amount of lecturers, the amount of international lecturers and students.

QS publishes university rankings annually. Their rankings are admitted affluent alongside with Academic Ranking of World Universities and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
