The scientists of Altai State University have submitted an application to the Guinness Book of Records for registering the biggest Internet-visualization that allows to estimate one’s achievements by sight.

It is referred to Pride Faces visualization, which was created in the framework of federal rating system LevelPride.com. According to the developers, the system has no analogues of the same scale and presentation form.

Pride Faces is an endless web-page containing different size photos of schoolers and students; the size of the photo depends on the number of achievements that person has in different spheres of life. Thus, in several minutes the most active, ambitious and talented young people, who succeeded in studying, science, culture, sport and so on, can be visually determined. The visualization slogan is “It’s like in real life: the more achievements you have, the higher are the chances that you’ll be noticed”.

“Initially the system was intended for the university’s internal needs aiming to discovering and further incitation of the talented students. After just couple of months of LevelPride system work several ASU students were selected for the purpose of awarding the enhanced scholarships. Then we started to engage schoolers, enrollees and students of other universities to the project and help graduates to find jobs. Eventually, the LevelPride system has become a federal catalogue of promising young people, and for the moment there are portfolios of the representatives of more than 50 Russian and foreign higher education establishments stored on the database,” explained one of the project’s authors and inspirers, head of the Computer Classrooms Support Office under IT Department Oleg S. Ternovoy.

It remains to be added that ASU scientists’ application will be processed within two months.

The LevelPride system allows schoolers and students to create their personal portfolios entering the data concerning study and extracurricular achievements (certificates, diplomas, etc.). If necessary, the system produces a structured portfolio in the PDF-file format, and all that is left to do is to download it and print out.
