ASU takes the first place among the flagship universities in U-Multirank international university ranking

Altai State University entered U-Multirank 2018, an international university ranking launched by the European Commission in 2014.

The list includes 36 higher education establishment of Russia, including 16 representatives of 5-100 Project and 7 Russian flagship universities.

Altai State University received A ratings (the highest score) in 12 categories, including strategic partnership in the field of research and development, academic mobility, small innovative enterprises, and supplementary vocational education. As a result, it was ranked higher than any other flagship university of Russia.

U-Multirank ranking is implemented by the European Commission and carried out by Consortium for Higher Education and Research Performance Assessment. The consortium is headed by the Centre for Higher Education of Germany. The main goal of the ranking is to form an objective insight into different fields of university activity of all interested groups.

The following criteria are taken as a basis: teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation, and regional engagement.

U-Multirank enables comparison of Russian and foreign university at the level of criteria and academic programs appealing to enrollees and students. Over 1200 universities from 83 countries submitted information about themselves this year.
