Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, also known as Ranking Web of Universities, is a ranking system of world universities based on a combined indicator that takes into account both the amount of web content (the number of pages and files) and the apparent impact of these publications on the number of external quotes. Webometrics Ranking is published by the Cybermetrics Lab research group of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). It has been conducted since 2004 and is updated every January and July. It is one of the main and most important rankings in the world.

This once again confirms that Altai State University occupies a stable position in the modern system of higher education in Russia, sharing positions with the market leaders – national research and federal universities.
