Altai State University hosts the V All-Russian Competition of Student Research and Design Associations

Altai State University hosted the V All-Russian Competition of Student Research and Design Associations, in which young scientists from all over Russia took part.

This year, an unprecedentedly large number of applications were submitted to the first stage of the competition from various regions of our country, from Simferopol to Vladivostok. This is 264 people from 115 associations of 95 higher educational institutions in 51 cities of the Russian Federation. Even the citizens of Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan submitted their applications.

As a result, the best applications from 80 people were selected to participate in the intramural stage, where leaders were determined by the results of the work of the expert commission.

“Participants of the intramural stage, who came to our university from all over the country, presented projects for the competition in a wide variety of scientific and technical areas, from medicine and humanitarian research, to energy and rocket science. These works were evaluated by a large expert commission, which included 24 specialists from different regions of Russia. The fact that the competition was held at Altai State University for the fourth time in five years suggests that its organization was at the proper level,” Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Work of ASU Dmitry M. Bezmaternykh noted.

It is to be recalled that the All-Russian Competition of Student Research and Design Associations is held in two categories – “Best Student and Youth Scientific Associations of Russian Universities” and “Best Student and Youth Design Bureaus (Laboratories) of Russian Universities”. Representatives of Altai State University, the teams of the Student Design Bureau for Radio Technologies and the Student Scientific Society of ASU, participated in both of them.

The awards ceremony for the winners of the V All-Russian Competition of Student Research and Design Associations took place on October 5 at Altai State University. This year the number of winners became unprecedentedly large: 44 diplomas were issued in 6 nominations.
