Altai State University and Lomonosov Moscow State University agreed on cooperation in the field of Big Data

On July 9, an online meeting of teachers of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies of Altai State University with representatives of the National Technological Initiative (NTI) Educational Competence Center and scientists of Lomonosov Moscow State University took place.

During the event, a discussion on the issues of future cooperation in the scientific directions of IMIT in the field of big data mining was held. They are:

1. Artificial intelligence technologies and data mining in medicine.

2. Using big data analysis and digital footprints in social media to improve the quality of recruiting applicants and preserving the student body.

3. Data analysis in applied agricultural research.

4. Analysis of professional employment in the first census of Russia in 1897. 

5. Big data mining in the socio-economic sphere.

6. Computational technologies in the problems of theory and practice.

Moscow colleagues expressed interest in cooperating with AltSU scientists in the areas of data mining, they were especially interested in topics related to agricultural and medical research.
As a result of the meeting, scientists of AltSU, Lomonosov Moscow State University and NTI employees tentatively agreed to open the Big Date Regional Competence Center on the basis of the flagship university in Altai Krai.

As a result of such a consortium, it will be possible for students and young teachers of the university to undergo training in the following research and educational cases of Big Data: Supercomputers and Parallel Data Processing, Big Data Statistics, Image Processing and Recognition Methods, Telemedicine Systems with artificial intelligence and big data analytics” under the guidance of professors and teachers of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
