Career guidance performances were held at AltSU

11 February 2020 Center for Creativity of Students and Staff

Two Saturdays in a row, February 1 and 8, there was a full house in the Assembly Hall of Youth Events at Altai State University. The reason for this is the demonstration of performances by the folk group of Altai Krai at the theater workshop Homo Artisticus.

Schoolchildren were invited to the performances together with the Altai State University's recruiting department and the Education Committee of the city of Barnaul. More than three hundred young spectators, together with the residents of the city, plunged into the fabulous atmosphere of the works known to us since childhood.

On February 1, the premiere of the play The Little Prince based on the work of Antoine de Saint-Exupery took place. The performance was the diploma work of Melana Vinogradova, a graduate of the Altai State Institute of Culture. On the stage there was the new taking on of  actors of the theatrical workshop, the guys for whom the performance was a kind of first step, so the sincerity and naivety with which the troupe worked did not leave anyone indifferent in the hall.

On the following Saturday, February 8, the play The Blue Bird, which had already become popular with the audience, took place on the stage, which premiered at the end of 2019. The play, staged by a graduate of the theater workshop Homo Artisticus, and now a student of the theater institute named after Boris Shchukin Elena Dryuk, became for many an important revelation about the theater workshop. The fabulous atmosphere created by the guys surprised even critical viewers this Saturday.

“It is very important to know about the opportunities that exist at Altai State University”, said Kirill Skobelin, Head of the Homo Artisticus theater workshop before the performances, “Everyone can really realize himself here, because there are more than enough directions in our university, including for creative development. For our part, we want to show how active the theatrical movement is here. At least we are doing everything to make it live and develop".
