Faculty of Physics and Technology student was awarded a prize at the International Scientific Student Conference 2016

The 54th International Scientific Student Conference 2016 took place in Novosibirsk State University on 16–20 April. The conference is a site for students, postgraduates and young scientists to present the results of their academic work, exchange opinions on the main science areas with young and experiences researchers and establish useful contacts.

Altai State University Faculty of Physics and Technology decided to send 3rd year student majoring in information security Yakov Filin as a delegate. He delivered his report at “Information Security Methods and Systems” section and got the 3rd place.

The conference opening ceremony was conducted at Scientist Club. The student youth was warmly welcomed by the organizers, representatives of Novosibirsk State University Rector’s Office, Novosibirsk Oblast Ministry of Science, Novosibirsk administration. The wished the young researchers to work effectively and get more new acquaintances.

Further, the audience watched the scientists’ unconventional presentations: “Boolean-values Analysis. Seeing Simple in Difficult” by Novosibirsk State University professor, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences A.E. Gutman and “How Does Artificial Intelligence Change the Scientific Approach” by head of the Laboratory for Thread-Specific Data and Computer-Based Education under Novosibirsk State University, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences E.N. Pavlovskiy.

The students also took part in cultural program, which included going on sightseeing tours around Novosibirsk. They visited such places as regional studies museum, Novosibirsk zoo, planetarium, railway technics museum, academic town and Vector scientific center.
