Foreign students studying at Altai State University paid a visit to one of the Barnaul schools. The meeting between foreigners, school teachers and pupils was initiated by lecturers of the Preparatory Department of Russian as Foreign Language.

Such events are traditionally held in the middle of the academic year and serve as linguocultural and language practice for the international students, who study the Russian language at ASU Preparatory Department. According to pupils and teachers, ASU students did an excellent job. They started communication easily, understood almost everything, told pupils about themselves, sang songs and even attended lessons together with Russian children.

Students of the Preparatory Department from China, Mongolia, Syria, Poland and Germany attended lessons in music, informatics and drawing, where they got a chance to become pupils of the Russian school for a while and do the tasks together with their Russian friends. They were programing, playing computer games, drawing and singing in Russian and their native language. Further, they participated in a masterclass and had a tea-table conversation with Russian pupils in informal surroundings.

Foreign students enjoyed the meeting. They noted that it had been educational, emotional and pleasant. They made new friends and availed of the opportunity for communicating in Russian with native speakers.
